not unless its free like the series i just picked up, got no room mate, driveway is full as are the two neighbours ;)

Been thinking about a straight swap with a td5 Disco.... What are they like? Any down sides to owning a Disco i should be wary of?

i reckon u get 7k for it
as for the td5 disco...... 4 get it !!!
get a 300 b4 a td5 (not sayin it cuz i got 1) just td5 are so unreliable and expensive when go wrong...like oil pump sprocket retaining bolt finding its way loose as usual and a head gasket every few months, o and the od bit of oil in the wiring harness ;) list goes on get another 300 jarrod
danny

Got to agree with thebiggreenthing, my mate works for a landrover specialist company and he has told me to steer well clear of td5's - he basically gives the same comments.
But he also is not keen on the 300tdi, he reckons the 200tdi is the one to go for, which is what im looking out for at the moment.

Scott.

their is nuffing wrong with the 300tdi !! take it from me look after it and itll give no problems...check the viscous fan regular and keep an eye on that temp guage !! if it rises more than normal switch the bloody thing off !!
as for 200 tdi's they are the dogs as u sed jarrod mine pulls off better :D ok its tuned to the max tho :D
i got a 200tdi disco if u after 1 ?
jarrod get a 300tdi disco m8
danny

Thanks guys... greatly appreciated advice there:D.
Been on eblag... checking things as you do... seem to be alot of scammers offering £15k motors for £5k cash:eek:.
Also... a couple of merc convertables and lotus elise have caught my eye. I'm gonna steer clear of the TD5 like you said.

Any advice on a V8 disco?

A mate of mine had a V8 disco, and he loved it, he only sold it due to it being quite thristy.

Scott.

v8 disco series 2 are mint jarrod
the engine are good as gold, no problems with them
they a bit thirsty but get it gassed and itll be cheap as chips, loads of grunt, lovely sound and pure luxury
v8 disco 2 4 me jarrod.....no TD5

Sounds good to me guys, with having my tv licence/electric/poll tax/heating/ poll tax/rent & half of travel fuel costs paid by my employer, i shouldn't have any worries with a thirsty engine....... just her indoors seems to cost a fortune:eek:...... going to trade her in for a cheaper model:rolleyes:.

Ive been on ebay and asked a few sellers if they'd consider a swap, theres a range rover 2001 v8 ive made enquiries about, he's having a think about it then is going to get back to me with how much cash he wants off me on top. Doesnt seem to be many v8 disco's that are new enough, all seem to be L/M/P reg motors (within reasonable travelling distance).
