hi got the chance to buy a 110 station wagon 3.9 v8 1989 122 thousand on the clock no mot needs a few bits usual welding in places runs and drives doors ok interior clean just need a ruff price to start on please
Not easy to price, as with any car it's really down to genuine condition and if it's been genuinely looked after and properly maintained. As note, the 3.9/4.0 v8's with that mileage suffer from cam wear, are known for cylinder sleeve movement and can really benefit from a thorough rebuild with Turner Eng top hat sleeves. If injection/on 14CUX they can be nicely tweaked, same if on carbs [SU's or Webers]. If injection Tornado Systems are handy to know...http://www.tornadosystems.com/ there's nothing about the Rover/TVR V8 that Mark does not know. If on carbs Peter Burgess is very good https://www.mg-cars.org.uk/peterburgess/indexstart.html
An 89 110 is usually needing a new chassis at that age or a lot of welding every year.
One pic is not enough to give an estimate on price.
What are they asking and what's it like underneath.
First off you want to be demanding a hefty discount on whatever the price is to make up to the terrible terrible wheels they have fitted! Also the chequer plate side kit.
One a more serious note, you need to give more detial on what "needs a few bits usual welding in places" acturally means. I would agree with @Gmacz that the usual welding on a vehicle that age will be most of the chassis and potentially a new one. if it needs a new chassis it is in project territory and only fit for parts/donor, therefore not worth much. If it just needs a new rear cross member then it is in proper vehicle category and worth vehicle money. From your description and the no mot, I would be looking at the low end of project.
