A new problem has reared it's head on my 200Tdi 90 1991.
it has always started on the first turn of the key but this week something strange has started to happen. It appeares to only happen when cold.
I get in, I turn the key it fires, then stops instantly try again, same thing,
try again but this time with a bit of throttle, fires and runs and then is ok all day
it seems like the fuel is draining away overnight and needs a bit of throttling to pull it through, but this isn't normal so what could be wrong?

Ye could try turnin' the key and waiting a wee bit before firing up. If that doesn't work then it might be summit to do with yer pump.

Maybe a slight leak which is allowing a bit of air into the plumbing overnight? Try giving it a good bleed.

try renewing the leakoff pipes that link the injectors. A meter of pipe will only cost you a couple of quid.
