Well its probably been done before but have looked on the forums and cant seem to find what I need so hear goes, I have a S11a and don’t have an old reg plate for it, so need to get an age related number any one know a good site were I can find the year of manufacture from the vin plate and were is the best place to get a dating certificate from, thanks in advance.

S11 don't have Vin no only chassis no's.I take it from what you've said you don't have a V5,so in which case you'll neede to contact DVLA

your chassis number will tell you how old it is

You could try Gaydon, if they can find it its gonna be £35.00 but they would be able to tell you the correct plate, if they can't they often don't charge
