I'm helping one of my friends redue her 88 ford 250. We are lifting it
more, but there is one problem her rear axle is slipping and we are
putting a new one in. What is the best gear ratio for a 3" body and a 11"
suspenstion. She also whats to do her front axle at the same time.

The "perfect" ratio depends on a lot of facters. Tire size, intended use,
engine size/type/setup. Without that information you're really just guessing.
The front and rear diffs MUST match. If you change one you must change the
other. If you don't, while in 4x4 one axle will be trying to turn faster than other.
Somethings going to give.

Given that amount of lift you have and that you are likely running
38’s or better with that lift I would say 4.88’s to 5.13’s for axle
ratios at minimum if you want any real performace, otherwise it will
be a bit of a slug.
