Hi All,

I have just bought a td5 discovery 2 and want to change the wheels and tyres ?

I am after some black modular wheels but what size should they be to sit out level with the plastic arch?

16 x 7 , 16 x 8 or 16 x 10 ?

I understand they have an offset so will sit wider but i have no clue what one would be best?

Also looking for a front winch bumper if anyone has one.

All the best

Terry

... and the bigger than standard the diameter is the more the engine management and the ABS will be mixed up

Cheers gents,

my disco td5 is a 2002 facelift? was going to go with some 265 -75 -16 on 16 x 8 rims hoping to be to the outside edge of the arch? But kevstar has 10" ..hmmmm it currently has some 18" rims ?

I have no clue as i have bought this motor and not even driven it yet .. lol just trying to get it all sorted :)

for such big tyres you need proper power train and cooling system tuning or you might not like what will happen, just a flavour 255/65 or 255/70 Pros and Cons?

Thank you, although a little confusing. what i am after is what size Tyers should i put on and what width rims? going by the info on the link it refers to the size of the tier/wheel increasing the circumference meaning it knock out the calibration of the other elements ..

So in theory the width and offset won't make much difference other than turning circle ?

I want to remove the 18" rims and increase the tyre size to match what it should be ( what should it be?) on 16" rims to add to this i want the tyre to sit wider to the outside edge of the arch .. even if its not a wider tyre ..
