Hi

I am currently in the market for a P38 Range Rover. I have always owned diesels and thus feel more comfortable with them.

As with any vehicle there are known things to look out for, and I was hoping that you could assist me in giving me some pointers on these.

Thank you in advance.

Do a site search, but basically check everything works, every button, every window etc, make sure the EAS goes up and down. Test drive it and make sure it doesn't overheat when you give it some welly, make sure the gearshifts on an auto are smooth with no flaring.
Any faults at all, walk away unless you are a good mechanic and a masochist.
Put your location, someone with knowledge may be nearby who could come and look with you when you find one.
The diesel is more reliable than the V8.
