Im on the lookout for some budget off road tires for my td5 90, in 235x85 r16 size to put on a cheep set of steels to use as a second set for green lanes and some play and play, as I currently have general grabber TR's. The ones I seem to see most often at a good price are the extrem off road ones that would be fine for a pay and play but I think they may well cut up a muddy lane in no time flat.

Im not too worried about how many miles they will last, and im not too worried about on road handling (they will probably only do 2000 miles a year at most) but they should cope well with as many off road situations as possable as I drive lanes all over the country and my local pay and play is devils pit, which is chalk but I only go up there once a year normaly. I have been offered a set of DISCOVERER STT's fitted on steels for £450 what are they like and is this a good deal?

Any advice anyone?

Yep, STT's a great tyres.

I use them on my 200 Disco and they do everything I ask of them from laning, pay and play and winch recovery.

Years gone by used to be full of travellers in dodgy looking motors I hope its got better since then.

We go to Whaddon more often but are not hitting the comps once again next year should be good loads of comps.
