Just wondered what spare parts you lot take out with you on laning/pay n play days?
I seem to take every spare apart from the part that breaks on me fender :( (and I break it alot) :D

It depends on how far I'm going but anything from electrical connectors to coolant hoses to a spare throttle potentiometer....... Not forgetting my AA, RAC and Green Flag details.

I tend to carry a roll of fencing wire... I've used it for gaining entry to a mates discovery when his dog locked him out and it held up an exhaust on a jeep. I only started carrying it after watching an sj driver use some and a shackle to hold his leaf spring in roughly the right place so he could get home

I carry some in my truck for securing exhausts, dodgy door latches, insecure body panels, wiring up knackered bottom ball joints to allow vehicles to be recovered more easily etc etc.

:)

seems a good Idea..

just a thought here,

back in the days of banger racing, I used lengths of chain with a long bolt through to tighten it all together,
but,
would a good ratchet strap work just as well in todays get you homes bodges?

ive got the old alternater and ps belts, cable ties, wire, and a couple of small ratchet straps.... and the rac card

Never underestimate the power and usefulness of the ratchet strap... They are almost mythical!

All seem to take the same bodging bits ie gaffer tape, cable ties etc and the essential tea making facility's.

What's the most frequent problem your Landy causes you?

Ive been getting that problem too find that if a put a rather expensive blue tinged fluid in it stops it but foook me its pricey,

Ref bits and bobs I carry the two old aux belts, fuses, wire connectors, Gaffer tape, Assortment of bunjee cords and rat**** straps and tools.

Jetboil - A+++ definitely the best xmas present ever. That and me brew kit.

Got a spare aux belt few electrical spares and a fuel pump. Its a TD5 so electrical spares needed.

Have a couple of 2 tonne ratchet straps and a butt load of cable ties.
