Right heres one for you, and im not doing a poll cos its too varied and i dunno how. What in your opinion makes the ultimate Defender? Youre allowed a maximum a 5 accessories and these can be anything, your imagination is the limit. Base model is a 110 Hard Top.

For myself i like simplicity and practicality so probably:

1. Good A/T tyres.
2. Full wading kit
3. Front spotlights

Thatll do me nicely :) nothing too ridiculous i reckon.

But it also has to work! Picked up a really nice 110 hardtop just the other day. Good A/T's all round. Lift kit, Snorkel, Winch, Towing chains, Orange beacons....

It needed Recovered 350 miles home because..........


























The Wiper motor had failed!!!
 
Ah but thats where youve failed. You should have tied a bit of rope around the wiper arms and sat inside pulling it backwards and forwards whilst driving. Or if youre Bolly you probably have a man to sit on the bonnet and do that for you.

Anyway we're assuming that it works so no faults or anything, just a list of what you think makes the ultimate Fender. Mine had all the kit on it when i bought it, everything you could dream of, but it was **** and badly done so i stripped it down and sold the lot. Only thing thats on my list but isnt fitted to mine is the good A/T tyres
 
1. Some fairly aggressive A/t's of a generous width and diameter. (Cooper st maxx?)

2. Front and rear LSD's.

3. Decent headlights.

4. Rear work light .

5. Steering guard.


If I did more p+p's etc I'd have a suspension lift and lockers.

General AT2 tyres,
Strong rear ball and pin towing point,
Strong interior heater,
Alloy Steering Guard,
Dancing Girls (all around 18-28)
 
  1. rust proofing that lasts for 30 years
  2. 100 mpg engine
  3. muds that work in the wet and last for 100k
  4. self cleaning interior
  5. thief proof

Well youve haunted me with that photo. I'll never be able to walk through short grass again without fearing that a happy looking sloth is very, very slowly crawling towards me with rape on its mind.

Anyway seeing as its you and you prefer Series to Defenders, what makes your ultimate Series?

Hmmm, stupid engine, tyres and transmission, portals and a truck cab or rag top :p simples. Oh and central headlights, none of this wing bollocks!

Steering guard, Good heaters, Set of Grabber AT2's, good tow bar, Reliable motor you can depend on.
 
1. big lift kit
2. big wide chunky tyres
3. big thirsty supercharged v8
4. big ol winch bumper
5. big roll cage

Got to add 5 alive tuned to 225hp
Lockers, front and rear, for me Detroit type. If strictly a pay and play the rear air locker, Detroit front
