I've just been doing the clutch spring swap and came across this part which I have no idea what it is or what it is for. It's directly beneath the steering column underneath a plastic cover.
Can anyone shed any light on what it is?

Fair point. fuse puller not your eyesight, if it is why would it be there taped up? and not with the fuses

Who knows what goes through the head of a previous owner. Tape it to the inside of yer fuse cover as the fuses can be a PITA to get out and these are useful fingys
