my car freelander 2004 KV6
i need to make my car little height so i decide to change all tires
now i have 215/65R16

some people advice me to change to (225/70R16) or (225/75R16)

now you are professional people, tell me your advice ?

The largest practical diameter is around 29 inches, keeping width to 225, maybe 235.
I have a set of 225/60/17 on my SE auto which fit ok. I'd run into clearance problems if I went bigger though.

I don't need to change my rims it 16inch, only need tire

At 29.3 inches in diameter, I'd say it might hit the spring cups. You might need spacers on the hubs to give you extra clearance.

Your speedo would under read by 2.5 MPH at 30 and 5.1 MPH at 60 with those fitted. Don't know about regs where you are, but here it would be illegal.

today I fixed my new tire and I check almost size and found best one for travel for long distance 235/60/R16
no friction and fit

That size equates to about 27.1 inches which will fit without any fuss.

tire fit with tire area with out any nose and frictions,I test this up to 140km nothing happened

I can't comment on FL2's but I've personally ran both 235/70/16 & 225/75/16 on standard 16" alloys on my 2002 FL1. It's widely accepted that anything that gives you a 29" diameter tire is the limit, soYou are perilously close to the underside of the spring seat with those tyres, spacers would buy you more room for larger diameter, but you'd need to be mindful of body work clearance going for bigger overall diameter tyres with wheel spacers.

Not necessarily, the Freelander 2 was released in 2006.
If the rear door opens sideways, it's a FL1, if it lifts up then it's a FL2.

There are several owners with 225/65/17 tyres fitted, which are 28.5" in diameter, and clear the spring cups ok.

So any tyre with a similar width and diameter under 29" will also fit.
215/75/16 = 28.7" diameter.
225/70/16 = 28.4" diameter.
235/65/16 = 28" diameter.
So using 225/75/16 would likely depend on the actual tyres chosen, as that's getting right to the limit of what will fit.

Remember, the wider you go, the smaller the diameter has to be, or the tyres hit the spring cups, and you can't really go wider than 245 on the standard wheels, or the side walls contact the strut tube.

I ran 225.75/16 Kumho kl71 tyres, fitted brand new to standard alloys, without spacers.KL71's are insanely aggressive, starting life with like 22mm tread blocks, these were admittedly precariously clost to the spring seats, but they do fit.
