Travelled down to Cornwall last week. Car was running fine on the motorway but had to get off near Bristol because M5 closed. First set of traffic lights came to engine felt like it was going to stall, tick-over was very lumpy making car shake, no lights on the dash.

Is this Limp Mode or something else?

Carried on rest of way to Cornwall but didn't feel right at low revs/speed, was better when back on motorway.

Got the Engine Management light coming on, on hills travelling above 65mph but that seems to be common fault or could it be connected??

Car is 05 plate with 88k, had a full service week before.

Any ideas appreciated

i believe limp mode is where you have limited revs and speed its the engines way of saying something is wrong and its just enough to get you to a safe place to call for help

I had this on mine a while back. Changed the Low Pressure fuel pump and MAF sensor and it was okay thereafter.

Are you still in Cornwall? If so where? If you are close you could pop round I can run a diagnostic on it ;)
