So my engine is resting on the 2 engine mounts, and a block of wood, as I'm about to refit my gearbox.
New clutch fitted, along with release bearing.
The green book says to apply moly grease to the clutch plate centre, the primary pinion splines and the 'withdrawal unit abutment face'. What exactly is the latter?
I was thinking it was part of the clutch release bearing, but elsewhere in the book, it says to apply PCB to that where it mates with clutch cover spring fingers, so I'm guessing it's not actually that.
Could it be the bell housing flange?
