I have had an annoying small coolant leak for months on my td5 defender dammed if i could find it, but today ive sussed it.
Where the top hose goes into the block there was a tell tale trail & a few drops of pink water. It was those stupid hose clips they use from new at the factory.
At the base of the hose right on the block it was leaking so i got a proper jubilee clip popped the hose off and to my suprise the outer surface of the male reciever on the engine had a really big hard build up of what must have been lime around the circumfrence wether this had built up because of the leak who knows.
so i cleaned it all off put the hose back on tightned & bled the system road test now all is good
