Started her up and have made the decision to rewire the dash.Also goin to rip out the series 3 dash and manufacture a box to fit over the heater blower with better tubes straight to the window for better demisting !
 
ohhhhhh, bit adventurous:eek: i just looked at mine this morn and then ran back to my nice dry car cos it's ****ing down here:rolleyes:

So when are the AA coming to fix it for you?:D:D:D
 
Replaced the tub crossmembers, made up and fitted some reinforcing plates for where the ally has corroded and put the tub back on the chassis.

did ya put a strip of damp proof membrane between em ??
 
Two good thick layers of paint on the crossmembers and new rubber pads between the crossmembers and chassis (which is galvanised). Should be ok.
 
I'm just relying on the paint and the thick coating of waxoyl I'm gonna spray on it.
 
I ordered some bits for it. I thought briefly about washing the poo off. Then I decided to wash the others instead.
