...that'll be a P38 with an EAS fault warning accompanied by the "don't go over 35mph or very bad things will happen" error display.
It's quite surpising how 'good' roads suddenly become harbingers of all manner of bumps, humps and potholes.
Still the application of the EAS software closely followed by the dismantling of the air compressor found a piston seal that looked like a polo mint having gone 7 rounds with a slobbering St Bernard, and 'O' rings flat enough to have been punched out from sheet rubber.
Remove, clean, swap.
Happy bunny all round

How many up's and downs should they do before a complete overhaul of the "O" rings are needed and is it mostly work or mostly age that makes them crap out???

did my o rings a short while ago they were not causing an issue but hadnt been done during my ownership. so refurb time its a simple cheap thing todo

Are there any warning signs that the "O" rings are starting to age? George stays up all week when empty. I always select full height when parking as I think it tends to put folk off parking too close. I can leave her for a week and she's still at full height. When full of disco gear, she sometimes ticks & clicks, but once settled, she maintains the height for however long I leave her (usually no more than a day or two, then put it back into storage).

Sometimes when I'm out driving, I'll be at the lights and she suddenly lifts the front, but more so if I've had to brake sharper than normal, so I expect that. But now & then, she bows, then pops back up really quick!

Should I be worried?

Yes, if your compressor is staying on more than about 40% of the driving time it is probably feeding a leak or struggling. Anything over 50% probably means the end is nigh. You can take a trace with the Nanocom every so often to measure the health of the system. Cannot remember when I last did mine but one healthy it seems to last years with no issues.

As an aside, if you check the duty cycle for the pump it is designed to run about 33% of the time.

I have no idea if my compressor stays on or not. I do know the air tank clearly works as when it's charged the lift is quick.

I know my brake sphere will need changed soon as some days I get all three lamps on and it whirrs & birrs for a minute or so a few times per journey.

The ABS lamp also comes on some mornings, but goes out soon as I go over 10kph.
