I recently bought and fitted a Midland 98 in mine ... easy to use and great quality. It's fitted to a 1.65m Thunderpole.

Midland Alan 121 nice slim radio got it in the map pocket above the windscreen thats in a Disco 2 did have it on dash with an external speaker but that kept gettiing in the way

My Only issue with newer CB's, is the use of LCD displays...They have to be right in the line of sight, or you cant see what channel you're on. I have a Cheapy tti550 mounted above the sun-visor in my Disco...but due to the angle cant really see the display. I know I could move the CB, but I like it there...its out of the way, close to hand & doesnt get wet when wading (Or if its raining & the window is open  )

Had the same problem solved it by squeezing a small thin travel mirror or something reflective between radio and headlining does the job

mmmmm what to get so many out there, are the front mounted internal speakers loud enough? and does the auto Squelch work ok?

If i could find a midlands with a front speaker i'd go for that as is a popular name rather than something no ones heard of.
