What battery recommendations can you make for a UK registered 2013 L405 3.0 diesel.

I had a great response when I asked about my L322. After speaking with a friend he would like a new battery in his L405. What are we recommending guys n gals?

Aha, so it may have to be an agm battery.
Mind you, some efb batteries are built for stop start but your freind needs to have the correct type and quite possibly have the battery management told the battery specs and the fact that the battery has been replaced .

Begger, I forgot all about the so called stop start nonsense and the fact that the car has to be told a new battery has been fitted:oops:

It deffo has to be an AGM battery = Acid glass mat weather its a stop start or not. Being a 2013 L405 it will not have stop start. That feature did not come in until mid 2015 model built cars. Mine was a May 2015 and it did not have stop start but it did have AGM battery.
If the car is in full time use then fine but if not then i suggest fitting a c-tek lead and charger as they do not like being sat around unused for long ( like Jags ) and you will get battery drain eventually like also on a P38. LOL

I lad, computer controlled charging. Some chargers top 150a or more to quickly refill the stop start battery levels :eek:

AGM = Absorbed Glass Mat.

Pretty much anything prestige or sports these days Alan. Its all the tech that creates the drain. I have even bought a " stop start " c-tek unit for Joanne's new MG HS mate as we hardly use it now she works from home full time so once a week i connect it up for a couple of days and all is well 100%.
