hi All,

on my 300tdi R reg, there are wires, I think 3 that run in to the side of a black bit of plastic that is located just to the right of the 4 screws to the diaphram. What is this?? A sensor maybe?? it looks like its got hot at some point and with the truck playing up, think this might need replacement??

Is it the 'fly by wire' throttle or do you have a 'proper' cable? I have no experience on the 'fly by wire' system but it might be the problem you mentioned. Also, there has to be at least one wire to operate the fuel shut off valve? Perhaps some sort of immobiliser?

If not at least it will put the post back up the top for awhile.

It's fair to assume many people are on holiday at the moment, but you never know your luck.
