I think I may have found the culprit to my epic oil leak. Somthing has sheared behind the injector pump (see the photos). Not having owned one of these before I have no idea what! I have put a small stick it to the hole and its around 3inches deep.

So what was there and whats the best(or economical) solution?

Thanks for any help

injector pump should have a support bracket secured to cam gallery by 3 bolts ,you havent so oils coming out of holes it seems

Thanks for the info. Just to be sure the place the part has sheared is into a raised knobble on the block. Also if it is for a bracket would it be leaking oil? I guess if some one drilled it out a little to exuberantly they could have drilled through the block.

Is there a short term fix you can think of as I dont have time to remove the injectors to fix properly.

Thanks again

Its not been fully drilled out as far as I can see. If I had the time I could strip it down drill it out and retap it.
For got to mention this is a late mark 1 1998 so has the tdi300 if it makes a difference. I've never used chemical metal, would it take the heat?

Thanks again
