The nearside passenger carpet is saturated. Its dry at the front and at the tunnel side, it is soaking from the door to where your feet go. I called at my local land rover repair centre and they reckon the sunroof or roof bars are the likely cause. The roof lining is dry though and all looks well under the wheel arch, and the rest of the carpet is dry, so any advice please. The land rover centre is £50.00 an hour so I hope to be able to have a look myself. I have got the threads on headliner removal and sunroof drain pipe repairs, is that the place to start even though the headliner seems dry ?

Cheers (sorry its a bit long)

Peter

Do you have air con, sometimes the pipe that comes away from the aircon can be kicked out by a passenger and wet carpet

Also if it's an old disco the sides of the foot well may have the plastic cover which is held in by the door rubber, it might be wise to take this out and have a look behind it

peter you get in side and someone to put the hose on it, then you can have a good look. thats what the garage will start with

the very front corner's of the roof gutters next to the windscreen seal leaked on mine down the inside of the A pillar down to the carpet with out getting anything else wet, remove the plasitc kick panel and do the hose pipe test as above.

cheers guys it does have air con, its a year 2000, I will do the hosepipe test before I take the roof lining out.

Mine did exactly the same

The leak was where the Bulkhead meets the Inner wing inside the engine compartment (By the horn) Area had rusted away behind the sound insulation where the wiring goes through the bulkhead
