were is the electric coolent pump on a2007 3.6 tdv8 put it on tester comes up pump not working my heater blows cold hoping this is the fault with it thanks john
 
Mines a 2008 tdv8 3.6 and as far as I know there is no electric pump for the heater, there is one for the FBH but that only kicks in when engine cold. There is however two valves at back of the engine on the bulkhead that controls heating when engine running.

myn came up on tester faulty i have a4.4 petrol one as well thats 2004 and it looks like a pump on left hand side of the chassis but just gesing i will check the back off engine as my heater is cold it never over heates runs in the middel of temp gauge
 
The heater distribution valve block is a known item for the solenoids to seize stopping the hot water going to the heater.

That's mad, surely the failing blend motor on the p38 was better than a failing solenoid on an l322!?
At least you can do the motor off at the side of the road and get heat
 
The L322 both petrol and derv share the same heating system there is both a 2 way solinoid valve and electric pump both are known to fail.
Heating solinoid is yhe 1st thing yo check it's on the rh side of the engine bay the pump is attached to this same unit

Personally I think the coolant should flow through the matrix constantly, control the heat via flaps in the heater box,
when there is a valve shut off all summer come the winter, open the valve (if it's not seized), more often than not
will leak or, the matrix could be blocked due to no flow for months so, you still won't have any heat,
just my thoughts on the subject.

So high tech that my 93 defender has it!

It's easier and quicker to adjust air flow than wait for a radiator to change temperature

hi rhs is that looking at front of car i/e pasinger side thanks i saw somthing on the petrol one sat on the chasis rail pasinger side

just had a look its on pasinger side on top of chassis and near imposibal to get to fuel pipes on top of it and rocker covers half of it not a small job
