Took the wife and daughter (10) out in the Landy, just to find a couple of local lanes, OS map etc. First lane great, all tarmac, saw loads of rabbits, a huge bird of prey, dunno what one though, def not a Buzzard. Found the next one, dirt track, end in a farm yard type place, track was fenced off with a style, byway sign had been sprayed over, no one around to ask, so turned around and started to make way back to road, 4x4 coming other way stopped, women driver, stoped us and asked what we were doing there, women obviuosy of um 'Gypsy' stock, told her we were exploring the rights of way etc, she told me I was on private land  and eff off 'or else'. We carried on our way to the next lane, turned into it to be confronted by a load of fly tipped stuff, got around that and it was a lovely lane, and to all of our delight we had a Barn owl fly close to us, had a great view of it...

Apart from the pikey and flytip, was a nice pleasant little trip out...

By the way we found the other end of gyppos track, lo and behold, there were a few caravans on plots of land, do we have any rights of way????
