I think I royally screwed myself. The 4x4 gear box was seized and I tried engaging low from high. Then I tried to bring it back into high and the stick would just sit in the neutral. This is all the while that I have the gear selector in Neutral. I finally muscle it back into high gear and get driving when the transfer case pops back into neutral! I pull over tithe side of the road and muscle it back into high gear...forgetting that I was in 2nd! I hear an huge grinding noise, but am able to drive home...going through all of the gears (up through 5th). This morning I went for a little drive and nothing seems to work...the clutch is now engaging right near the floorboard and each gear is a huge grind to get into.

Do indeed a new transmission, transfer, both? Help the newbie, please...
