I am not 100% sure if I have done the right thing, but bought a 300TDi 5 door today, N reg, full MOT, body has a few little rust marks, but the floors and cills and engine mounts look great. Picking it up Tuesday night. The rear floor was like new no dampness or water anywhere, engine looked very tidy no signs of water or oil on the ground where its kept either. This guy is the second owner, and he says it has never let him down once. Well with my luck, its bound to fall over first night.

When I get it, I will re-cam belt it and change all the fluids, so guess what next sunday has instore for me, should please her in doors no end He was a little unsure if the updated belt had been fitted, but its rather expensive.

Anyway thanks for all the advice you have given me. but I will be back to ask how to fix I am sure.

I paid over the top for it, but I just couldnt find one in my area, and anyone who I met wasnt willing to lower their prices at all, the guy wanted 4500 for it, but I tried lowering down to 35, but no good and I did try hard meeting half way and all that..... In the end 3900 was it, I reckon about 400 over or more, but I need a vehicle urgent so cant do alot about it. Borrowing the works van is risky, so I am sorted now, just hope its going to be ok........
