Mornin' All.
Going to work at 5 this morning. Just pulling out of my road and stalled. Think I turned the ignition over again a second before the engine actually died.
Battery light came on. Lost power steering.
Pulled over, stopped and started the car, couldn't get the power steering back. Not ideal but needs must so kept going to work.
Then the ABS TC amber lights came on, dials started to fluctuate and I lost the radio.
Pulled over because I couldn't tell if my lights were still on (they were).
Now the car won't start.
Clicks, just doesn't actually turn on ignition.
Can I reset something or have I done something worse???
02 plate TD4.
Thanks

Thanks, yes, I've just found a belt ripped off.
Not sure which one. Sits on the left side looking into the engine from the front.
About 3/4 inch wide with several grooves that match several wheels.
Thanks.
Difficult to fit?
Cheers

The drive belt has failed. It needs a replacement, fingers crossed the belt broke due to age, rather than being broken by something seizing. You need to have the crank pulley checked for integrity as they are known to fail.

Dont drive it. That belt also runs the water pump. Driving without the belt means coolant wont circulate and you risk cooking the engine - head gasket failure etc.
Assuming you havent already. If it snapped when you stalled and you continued driving till the battery died, thats quite a long time to be running with no water pump.
