Hey blokes,
Had the old girl in for a service and it ended up that the immobilizer started working and I couldn't get it to stop as the key fob is fooked.
After investigation, it seems that rather than both the fuel pump and started motor being cut by the immobiliser, it's just the starter motor.
A mechanic pal has rigged it up so that immobiliser is now by passed and the starter motor is direct to the ignition so I can now start her.
Is this the right way around it? As a complete novice, I don't wanna do anything that might cause other problems??
It seems also that the key fob is working but the signals not being picked up?
Your help would be appreciated with these questions.
Thanks guys
