Right another week another issue.

Whilst driving ma 110 when its in 5th gear you get a noise like air rushing in or escaping?

First i thought it was the air vents as they did leak, but i,ve changed them and tightened them up . No air comming in or out here.

I thought it may be the window seal but nope its good.

Though maybe there was a gromet missing on the bulkhead but nope!

So any body had this issue or know what the feck i,m on about?

It only does it in 5th but its comming forward of the gearbox and all gears work and engage fine!.....i,m stumped?

Might be worth a shout in the fender section. Strange its only in 5th and not just cause the revs drop enough to hear the noise.

replaced intercooler top, bottom hoses and pipe today and still i have the noise!....confused now !

Have you had the windscreen replaced recently ?

Well aye i did yestereday but it was doing it long before that.

Its comming from above the gearbox whilst under load, hence ma confusin and 3 bottles a wine aint helping !

Had that weird sucking noise when I was taking The Maggie (110 Defender) home from Edinburgh.
Thought it was sucking air into the turbo somewhere and eventually found it was the drain plug at the rear of the intercooler manifold was missing.
Replaced plug onto next problem and there's plenty of them!
