any idea where i can get hold of a weber adaopter plate for my s3 cause the carb thats on has 4 bolts and my weber only has 2 or do i not need to worry will it just fit side ways?

cheers

hey Wurzal is it a 2.5 or 2.25 lump - is the Weber a 32/34DTML or not - coz my 2.5 32/34DTML has 4 bolt mounting to the inlet fannymould.

hmmm - not sure i understumble - yu have a 2.25 with a carb (solex) with 4 mounting bolt holes but a "new" Weber only had 2 mounting holes - is that right?

well if you say its a solex i aint gona disagree but basically that is the prob 4 holes on old and 2 on new even with my limited maths i know it aint right lol

the prob i have, Wurz is i think the Weber has 4 holes - so I is confusedidled. maybe yu got the wrong new carb?

2 1/4 carbs are held on 2 studs so it sounds as if you already have a non standard carb on it. This probably means a none standard manifold. This in turn could lead to a non standard exhaust.
It sounds as if you problems are only just starting!

any compercunt person should be able to make yer a adapter plate fer it. bit of aluminium plate 3/8" thick. counter sunk holes to bolt to manifold and then yer holes to bolt to carb

would that work save a fortune on gaskets

just need a way of getting a workshop to look at it since she aint movin at the mo but sounds like only solution

as i sed before - my defender 2.5 petrol uses the Weber 32/34dtml carb with four bolt fixing - so yu can get the 2.5 inlet manifold and fit yo 4fixing carb straight to it.
