Have any. of you ever done this? my FBH is in permanent fault and as the glow pin is being highlighted as an issue, I thought I'd start there. Just wondering how much effort it is to remove on the L322.

I have experience of these from our Freelander 1 days and did wire up a separate remote (non OEM) for it to enable a preheat function for my ever-chilly wife. I expect she will quietly demand that I do the same for her Disco 4 soon enough but for the moment I'll concentrate on getting mine running in preparation for the colder weather. I don't want to get all the way to the station and still have a cold engine/cabin.

Any tips gratefully received. I've read some of the threads on here but most are about diagnosing complex issues with them where I think (and hope) mine is more straightforward.
Below is the result of my HVAC fault codes and the reason I am leaning towards a glow plug as I'm sure it won't try to start without it for fear of pumping fuel with the dose pump into a chamber that will never ignite:

No idea how to get to the glow plug on your car, but glow plug problems are common on FBH's so you are heading in the right direction.

Not too difficult to remove, remove battery as one of the bolt's is through the battery tray, N/S wheel arch liner off, clamp the water hoses so you don't lose too much coolant.

You may need to pull fuse 59 for a few seconds in the glovebox to clear the error on the FBH.

And it needs to be below 6° C to fire up but you can fool it by putting the temperature sensor behind the front grill in ice.
