Hi hope you could shed some light on the pool of water that appears under the car.In the passenger footwell there is the black box that holds the pollen filter from the bottom of that box there appears to be a pipe that runs through the bulkhead into the engine bay.
On the other side within the engine bay there is a ruber pipe with a flattened end that corresponds with the box in the footwell. The water is coming from that, where is the water coming from.Do i have a problem or is this normal. The water that comes out is clear and odourless any help would be welcome thanks

air con evaperator . . . .:)

Have not had the aircon on today does it accumulate water and then suddenly decide to frighten people to death by leaving a pool of water under the car:)

No not normally should only drain water while A/C is on and for a shorttime after it is switched off.Are you loosing any coolant? cos that will come out of same drain if heater matrix is leaking.

It will come on automatically in certain vent positions summit to do with air quality . . . . .Willo knows the more techno info on this strange pheromone :D :D :D

i checked mine this morning . i have a pool of water under the car . there seems to be a lot of condensation on the aircon pipe work, could it be anything to do with cold nights coming in.

so on these mornings when we are getting a bit of heat to the screen the aircon comes on and because its still cool at 6am when i turn the car off condensation occurs .

Don't about the rest of you but i find the REALLY annoying, my wifes car does the same and my Focus before did, maybe there is a technical reason...

If I can't post a picture no info. (What the he.. gives you the idea I know something about these things ?? All I can think of, together with all the other members already answered on this, is that it is condens water, when there is a lot of humidity in the air the amount of condens water will certainly increase. The more damp the more condens. Also as others already stated the position of the vents will give an automatic start of the A/C, know this from hearing as my old beast of january 2001 has not such a fancy gimmick:eek::D:D:D) P.S. he.. stands for heck not hell. You see I'm polite, I could have formulated it as: ... what the fu.. gives etc..... where fu.. stands for future
