Has anyone fitted/used those kits for the V8 with those sqid like things.... Do they work, worth the hassle and so on?

No, I know the thing you mean, seen em in the allmakes catalog. Also not sure how to put a snorkle on mine with the pancake airfilter . :doh:

silicone grease for fittin plastic **** pipes is ace....

i got loadsa that in the van but i guess any grease type idea will wash off and i'm too lazy to keep re-doing it
