Hi chaps,
Tons of water coming into passenger footwell from the roof drain. I can't get near it to fix it so I think I gave the following 2 options:-

Remove the fusebox - question is if I do this will I cause problems with immobiliser etc?

Full strip down - looks like a huge job - anyone had to do it?

I guess a third option is to redirect the drain?

Any advice please?

Are you sure it's from the roof drain?

Unless the tube is off the tray, or the tube is broken (drain tube, not the tray spigot) then the tube is long enough to take any water down inside the body framing.

More likely is water leaking in through the top front gutter corner moulding area, take the moulding off and saee if the sealant is cracked.

Another source is the body frame joints above and forward of the fusebox. You need to take the windscreen side trims off and I think the joint is visible. I filled mine with Sikaflex and it has been dry for four years.

Pretty sure it's the roof drain. Carefully poured water into the drain and it came out behind the junction box under the dash.

Ther could be further leaks but need to eliminate this one first.

I didn't think that the tube was that short, might be worth checking where it runs to, too.

To get inside the cabin it has to go through a joint or a hole.

Got to it by removing the CJB. The grommet that goes through the inner wing has split so some water goes out and some water runs back in again!!

Looks like part number EEH500100 needed.

Well that is one of the most difficult things I have had to do for a very long time!! There is almost zero room to connect the CJB connectors back up, particularly the 2 on the back of the box. What an absolute nightmare!! Hopefully that has cured it though!!

I have this issue and no sunroof. I thought it may be dripping from inside the wing, from a drain hole under the windscreen. I welded up the hole where the ingress was in the footwell, and its still puddling there after heavy pour (esp if its leaning to the right)
