Hi Chaps,

Idiot me hit a ford too fast yesterday and stalled the 300tdi (disco) half way across.

I left it overnight and got it going this morning after removing the glow plugs and intercooler hose and turning it over and over and over etc.

A lot of water came out - i changed the fuel filter, removed the air filter.

It wont rev over 1000/1500 RPM at all so had to get towed back.

Granted it was a silly thing to do but whats next? Any ideas on the cause? I was ecstatic to get her going again so determined to fix. . . .

Thoughts on a postcard, banter expected xxx

I plan on dropping the oil tomorrow and replacing it or should I check compression and rocker movement first?

Will have to get a garage to do it as i'm at uni and have barely any tools.

Any other things I could test?

Compression test is a must. Could have bent valves, rockers and even the Conrod with water ingress.

You say you hit a Ford, I've hit a Ford Focus and a Mondeo but never got water in............
