Hello mate. It goes through into the bulkhead and is fixed in place by a nut on the screwed rod that is hollow that also takes the water up through it. If you’re needing to replace it it’s a dash strip to get to it. Bit of a devil but easy to change once exposed.
The top part of the dash isn't that difficult to take off, it's only a dozen or so screws. Getting on the nut on the back of the washer jet is a bit of a fiddle and you need a long socket if I remember correctly.

if you are dexterous enough you can do it through the ashtray hole rather than removing the whole dash top. But if you are replacing I would advocate for mounting spray bars on the wipers and fitting a y-piece in the washer hose and feeding out each hose through the left hand drive wiper mount holes. Best modification I did to mine!
