As I have never owned a Land Rover I thought I best do some reading a came across this forum which looks really friendly and helpful which I am hoping will help me to choose my first LR. I am looking at either a freelander or discovery 07/08 plate and Auto if possible. I am currently running a 2litre petrol Audi DTM avant which guzzles fuel (roughly 28mpg if I'm lucky) travelling approx 40 miles per day to and from work which I also use to pull a caravan.
Could anyone give and pointers on what to look for as my search starts ?
With the mileage on the ones I have currently seen being around 80k I see the cambelt cost is quite high and the mention of the oil pump change too while the belt is being replaced and tensioners.
Any advice / pointers greatly appreciated.
