I'm after a solid defender 90. Milage I'm not too bothered about, don't want too much body rot, but mainly chassis and bulkhead must be solid.
Ideally a 90 station wagon, but would consider any 90.

I would have to sell my discovery first, but it would be much easier to do a straight swap. 1998 Discovery in green, home made roof rack, full length door ladder, steering guard, only been greenlaned about 5 times in it's life. Very smart example. Would expect it to sell for around 2500 on ebay.

Will upload pics if there's any interest.

I know discos are ten-a-penny and they're usually rust buckets but theres a few on ebay for around that. I'll get it sold realistically for about the 2 grand mark at least. It's not your bog standard dodgy disco to use for an engine conversion, or turning into a pay and play toy, it is a smart one.

Plenty of examples here:

i think you will have more chance of your bottom healing up than getting a swap for a 90 !!!!! ive just paid £1500 for a 1992 90 for breaking with a battered body and rough chassis !

Why is it such a broad scale with land rover pricing, I know your landy is only worth what someone will pay but people have some wild ideas ....

Not interested in a series, unless it's immaculate and as original as possible.

I think that most people are willing to pay a bit above the average asking price, if they know they're getting a landy with no faults, but the chaps who frequent this site, are dab hands at sorting most landy problems, so see a landy simply needing some re-wiring, welding, or brakes sorting, as a simple job but with the benefit having a much cheaper asking price. So when a landy that has no or very few faults comes along, it seems overpriced to most of the guys on this site.

Oh and I can see your points about 90s being more expensive. I expect I'd have to sell the disco, and use the money from that as wellas adding some more, to get a reliable 90. But hey ho, it's worth a try, and you never know, somebody who needed to sell their 90 in an urgent rush could have come along,

i hope your lucky finding a land rover without faults ! i think they come out of the factory with built in faults lol !!!!!!!!!!

I have an F reg 90, chassis and bulkhead solid. 175k miles. Good condition, only issue is the battery doesn't hold it charge, but once it started running it runs perfect.
