Hi guys.

yes its an l322 and yes i want to green lane her.

I have had the car off road last year during the shooting season but have not properly tested her yet.

Would love to go out and do some green laning to get a bit muddy.

can anyone let me tag along when your next out north derbyshire? shefffield south yorks etc.

thanks

Derbyshire etc isn't a bad place to start because most is suitable for you vehicle. As is north yorkshire, bit of a trek for us old v8s but yours is a mile muncher so you won't mind a long motorway drive. Some fabulous scenery up there.

Have you done any vehicle prep?

Not much up here m8, unless you go peak district etc, Hathersage, hope valley and beyond. not been yet but heard its not a bad day out :)

Where in Barnsley you from?

Not done any prep yet.
Was wanting to know about making diffs and breathers all watertite
What kit will i need?
And who sells it?
Installs it?
Had a look at the Frickley 4 x4 off road centre near doncaster!
I think that will be my starting point.
Please let me know what prep i should be doing?
Thanks

?? Near Doncaster, U say you are from Barnsley m8? Its literally the other side of Brierley (grimey) just past Burntwood Hotel.
if you need someone to go with, just gimme a shout as soon as i get my 90, i meet you up there, a few on here would go also :)

You dont need to do anything of you're only going to do what land rover say it can do, 50cm wading depth for instance.

Any further then you need to choose your mods depending on what obstacle you want to tackle.

In fairness few common sense items like removing towbar, sidesteps, front skirts, good tyres, basic wheels, rubber mats and seat covers, cb radio etc etc and just see how you go.

Breathers, intake, suspension height remap etc are further options...

Alright pal. Have a look through some of my threads and the Warwickshire thread. I offroad my l322 and it's great. Goes prety much anywhere you point it.

Frankly I'd take it laning standard first, see what gets it stuck and go from there!

I have a route round Doncaster, Maltby, Tickhill, Retford that I've taken a few newcomers round. Mostly none-damaging, standard RR P38 and D1 on road tyres got through them all, but a few (best ones) are a little scratchy from foliage ... Wouldn't mind showing you round in a fortnight or so .. can't be weekend coming up 'cos I have stuff on!

yeah no worries. Let me know when you get your ninety.

frickley, its near thurnscoe.
im at Hoyland Nether so its just down dearn valley bypass for me.

Ive got rubber mats, Engine is re-mapped about 220 bhp now i think as i had Egr by-passed too.
ive got good all terrains fitted.
Tow bar is a removable one, so no issues there.

My concern is "Water". i think im gonna run it over to RCV in donny and get them to look at breathers etc.

Im in Elsecar :) dont worry too much about water at frickley, if u want to then its there, if you dont have the kit then you dont have to go in it, just drive round it.. frickley more of a mud test lol
