Hi guys
Can anyone give me some advice on a mod I've done to my '76 series 3 109 diesel. Whilst STILL waiting for my blooming clutch plate to turn up.
I've fitted a wading plug to the fly wheel casing that actually comes from an airline fitting. Threads fit perfectly.
Where the airline would normally attach, I've fitted some 1/4 inch (inside diameter) braided hose as a breather. My plan is to feed this up the bulkhead and pass it through along side the speedo cable. Thus permanently protecting and proving a wading plug instead of the need to keep putting one in and out.
Is this likely to cause any problems as I been told that the crank case needs to ' breathe'?
