My P38 losses power on the batt. It sometimes stands for 3-4 days with no problems. Other times the batt dies overnight. I have a 20w, 2.5A solar panel fitted.
It might be the wireless signal problem, but I'm not sure how much power the system uses while picking up wireless items. I have just moved to a new place.

put a screw in the earth terminal between the earth connection and battery post. chances are this will cure it!!!

Thanks for the tip. Please explain where the screw must go. English is my second language. Sorry. Also what kind of screw?

The battery terminal sometimes "stretches" and the fit around the battery pole is loose - if you put a screw - any old wood screw etc - betweeen the battery pole and the clamp, then tighten up, it makes a much tighter connection and may solve the "p38- very- unhappy -with- bad -battery -connection syndrome". Rusty Afrikaans translation more or less as follows: (I've been back in Blighty for many years now!!!) :D here goes:

Klamp enige skroef tussen die battery paal en die battery klamp om 'n beter konneksie to vorm aangesien die p38 baie gevoelig is vir 'n slegte battery konneksie.
