I've got a vicious fan on mine.

It's metal and will have yer fingers off hot or cold

I tested mine years ago by removing it and putting it in the shed, its still in there.

sounds like it needs replacing. They are cheap enough.

Bit pointless changing a solid metal blade for another cheap or not

Yours must be old as all the ones I have seen are plastic. And they seem to have gone up in price since I fitted mine. About three years ago I paid £39 now they are £112.
