Hi folks I have a vibration from under car on a tight turn immediately thought viscous but it times at between 19-24 seconds just wondering if anyone got any ideas thanks in advance
 
Thanks nodge managed to have a quick look underneath in between the rain all I’ve seen so far is the vcu bearing rubbers are shot allowing up down and side ways movement of the prop will check what you suggest when I get a min break up from work soon and it looks like I’ll have plenty of time to check it as we can’t go anywhere
 
Hi Andy I did the one wheel up 3 times and all within 6 seconds of one another how would I know if transmission wind up it drives perfect apart from this heavy vibration on a lock the rubber parts of bearings look delaminated vcu turns smoothly when doing the test
 
OK, if vcu tests out then maybe the bearings and carriers are old and have been stressed before.

Change those and see if vibration improves.
 
Not had chance to change bearings yet but friend of mine has mate who is 4x4 specialist and he says ird is shot just wondering any thoughts on this as a recon outlays vehicle value thanks in advance

Normally a shot IRD causes more than vibration.
Change the IRD oil, to see the colour it comes out. Black is ok but old, silver grey isn't a good sign.
If the VCU is in good condition, and the tyres are identical and correctly positioned, then IRD failure is unlikely.

Has he seen the car yet? If not it's just a guess and no more likely to be right than the experts here.
Check for the simple things first.
 
Quick update can’t get any bearings till next year so I cut an old air con belt up and packed it around the rubber and inside the metal casing tried it just up the road couple of tight turns and it appears the noise has gone so when I can get some I will fit new bearings until then it will stay where it is at least it seems to have proved a point
