Just fitted a new vcu on my freelander as it was in 2wd when I got it and there seems to be a lot of vibration coming through the floor especially around 30mph is this normal or have I fitted it incorrectly

Did you check the rear diff before fitting the new vcu & prop ?
Did you check the IRD before fitting the new vcu & prop ?

most importantly:

Did you fit new bearings to the prop when you fitted the new vcu and prop ?

good luck

The ird , vcu, and bearings where all new the guy I bought it off just put the new ird in but didnt refit props and vcu that's why I deceived to put a new vcu on as it was probably the vcu that damaged the ird originally

Cv joints can go dry making em vibrate! The rear ones only show up with the vcu connected! Pull the boots back and repack em with grease and see what happens:D

Is that the cv joints on the driveshafts or the one on the prop the vibration seems to be coming from the front I also have a slight knock from passenger wheel so could possibly be cv boot
