I've done searches but not been able to find a definate answer to my problem.
My ABS has a nasty habit of cutting in when the wheels aren't locking or in danger of locking.
i.e. you press the brake pedal lightly to slow the vehicle and the ABS cuts in, you get vibration through the pedal and the car doesn't slow down no matter how hard you press the pedal.
No light comes on so the ABS itsself doesn't seem to think there is an issue.
My car has new wheel bearings all round and new swivels and bearings so there's not excess play anywhere.
I've read talk of a 16 pin connector under the dash (presumably OBD style) but I think this must only apply to the later cars as I can't find one on mine.
Has anyone else experienced the above problem?
Can anyone tell me where to find a diagnostic connector for the ABS and how to read fault codes?
