Hi to all freelander owners,my freelander has always gone a bit tight when doing a 90 degree reverse turn out of my driveway,as i turn the ground drops away a bit and if i clutched it would gradually stop, the motor has done 52,00 but as i have posted it was a cat D with no real history, anyway to be sure I visited Ken at Bell Engineering, what a bloke, said it was on its way out and would need changing, but may last another 10,000 before it really caused problems and caused the expensive damage that they do,he was not pushy in any way,in fact a pleasure to talk to,he asked if I intended to keep motor which I do.anyway went home, took it of,removed both props and went back yesterday and bought a replacement of Ken,his set up is superb,he takes apart and totally rebuilds his units, anyway took one away complete with new carrier bearings, got home, refitted everything ,what a difference,no stopping now when clutching on full lock in reverse, the whole motor drives a lot lighter than I had experienced before,THANKS KEN,anyone need one go to bell!,the proof is there, hope I don't recieve the usual gaylander--****lander replies, but who knows, just hope its of help to someone,or sorry should the old freelander not exist,I'm very pleased with mine!!!,CHEERS.
