Hi all- bought a V8 with no fobs 1 key and aftermarket Eureka immobiliser. i paid what can only be described as total monkey to remove this immobiliser and make the central locking and interior lights work again. They removed immobiliser but told me the c/l and interior lights wouldnt work still as someone in the past has wired them to work only when the ignition is live. (no good when you want to unlock the car and see what your doing in the dark befre starting the bloody thing!) Why he didnt resolve this is beyond me but seeing as he managed break the clips holding the binnacle in place, bugger up the light-switch and refit the stereo without seating it properly or plugging in the speakers, i thought best to cut my losses and not the tosser near it again!
The big trouble started though when i was driving along and hit a bump. The hazards came on and wouldnt go off.. Turns out the tosser had also left the green alarm ecu dangling and the bump caused it to swing and knock the side of the footwell. The only way to get the hazards to stop so i could continue my journey was to unplug the grey plug from the ECU whilst running, however whenever i come to re-start it, i have to lean over, plug this in first, start the engine and then lean over again to unplug it to stop the hazrds flashing!! it PAIN IN THE ARSE and stopping me enjoying my disco! Iv tried different ECUs but they wont even start the car (immob symbol appears on the dash). So does anyone have a wiring diagram or know how i can both bypass the ECU and get constant live to the CL and interior lights? Taking it back the auto electrician is NOT an option as i don't want that joker anywhere near it again!! Thanks in advance,
