Hi I've tried asking under discovery but got no replies so I'm trying here, I've got fault code p0340 showing, it says camshaft sensor or timing on the scanner, I've changed the sensor but the fault code still keeps coming up, I've cleared the code a few times but it keeps coming back after a couple of mins of running, its a 4.0 disco 2 2000, can anyone help, thanks Phil

What reader are you using to find the code I found the generic ones didn't show the faults as well as the one designed for land rover like the hawk eye. What problems is it giving?

I've got a cheap reader and the local garage got a n expensive one not sure of make, both put up the same fault code, car goes completely powerless but ticks over, its petrol and gas, although its a bit better on gas it does the same on both fuels, when you reach about 55 the whole car shakes, there's popping down the exhaust, and when you hit a hill your down to 30, I've changed cats and sensors, cam sensor, plugs, leads and coil packs, mad sensor, air filter, gas filters, its even had a recon engine, and still does it, getting angry now

Wow you have certainly been swooping parts, very unlikely a camshaft sensor would give that problem in my opinion what is the lpg system? The fact it is on lpg and petrol must rule out a most of the petrol system. What type god lpg system is it? Have a look at the LZ rescue there could be someone near that has a landrover diagnostics.

The lpg system is a dream xxi, it gives the impression that the injector timing goes all over the place, the 8 gas injecters just take the same pulse as the petrol ones, I've run the car with 2 timing lights on it, one on cylinder 7 and one on 8, the stobes are constant and when the engine goes all over the place they stay the samei
