Hi all.

just looking for comments/advice...
My V8 Defender, 90, 1985 reg, has a petrol pump just behind the tank, in the rear wheel arch...and it is blooming noisey..keeps ticking away...I am aware that it is a constant feed sort of pump...but shoudl the ticking be so Loud you can hear it in the car !!!

I am considering buying of Ebay !! a Facet Universal Electric (External) fuel Pump....any thoughts words of wisdom from th eLany Gurus !!??

Mine is under the drivers seat and is exactly the same. I shouldn't worry about it.

I got a facet pump. Could be a silver top type, cant remember. But that clicks away all the time, but cant hear it in the car when the engines running. you may need a pressure regulator.

My RRC 3.5efi has a in-tank pump that has made a noise, similar to slight exhaust rattle, for the last four years! Bloody irritating sometimes, esp.when standing at the rear of the car when it's at idle, but although I have a nos pump the labour cost to replace it (& the fact that the car has never missed a beat in all that time) means I suffer the noise.
