Hi all, the stereo in my p38 screen has gone and was looking to put a dvd system with a flip out monitor in. have heard rumors this is impossible due to the harman kardon that's in the truck originally. Does anyone know of a harness that can transfer the old system so i can have a choice of head units??
tried halfords and they dont wanna help me out!

Hi mate, indeed I did . you can get a lead from peter doidge at sounds4wheels@hotmail.co.uk or on 01493 441697. It costs £43 plus p&p but it really is a plug and play if you've got the pink 10 pin plug on your wiring. The sound is bloody awesome thru my blaupunkt woodstock dab54. He sells them on ebay too, but I found the fone better cos my car is a jap re-import. I've heard the nexxia lead is crap.

Hi Dave,

Got a lead from Peter (sound4wheels)

Plugged everything. Got sound without buzz as with my Ray Ambler home made attenuator.

I have some problems : balance setting does what fader do and fader does what balance do normally.

Is there a mod to in order to control the subwoofer volume separately?
I have a RCA SubOut on my new headunit.

True the Nexxia lead is crap, i tried everything on the market in order to propose something decent to my customers.

I'd ring Peter on that, I've heard there are changes to later p38's, he'll give good advice on which wires to swap over to get functions the right way round. In respect of the dvd player, use the e-mail link above or phone him to check, he's very approachable even for a numpty like me
